see relatedSorry to not update for so long. Seems like everyone gets bored of xanga after a while - but honestly, my life has been boring too. Not that it hasn't been fun - shopping and walking to buy coffee, but there's just not much to write about in that.
Last weekend I went with Robin to help out at a youth retreat at her parent's church. We dressed up as demons and chased children around the church and dragged them off to hell (a room with a red light and a crippled demon) if they couldn't find the right way to heaven first (the only lit room in the church). There were angels helping out too, but we had to limit their power because they were kicking our butts!
We played from 11 till two and we nearly died doing it.
I think this weekend's youth retreat will be much more subdued. It'll be good fun, but there won't be any demons running around. It's good fun though, the kids have been looking forward to it (oh yeah, and so have I).
Robin's been gone this week and that's a little odd - but hopefully she had a good time.

Yes, I still want to do the journalism thing. That's why I need to transfer. I keep hearing over and over from guest speakers, and even Dr. Hensley, that if you want to be a journalist, you need to know a little of all the other types of media, too. Well, we don't have that here. We have writing, and that's it. We have a journalism minor, but Dr. Hensley's Basic Reporting Class stunk, so I don't really expect much out of it.
Anyway, I'm looking at a lot of different schools. Asbury has a really good communications program, and I'm interested in them. Other than that, I haven't narrowed down my search a whole lot. It's hard to sort the ones who really do have journalism programs from the ones who just pretend. I'm trying to be more careful about my search this time.
Aww, I think you missed me!
